Furkan KURSAV - Gameplay Programmer

I'm a software developer who is addicted to video games that all people meet at some point in their life, but also makes them. While I was a Computer Engineering student at Marmara University, I decided on the game industry after trying different areas of the software industry. After starting with Unity and understanding the basic logic of game development, I switched to Unreal Engine and I am still working as a junior in a company that develops games with C++ to provide the best gameplay experience to the players. I live with the dream of making a game that one day will be heard by all people.

Major projects I worked on professionally
Neo Berlin 2087
A unique, Third- and First-Person Action Role-Playing Game; a deep, cinematic Detective Thriller that takes place in a dark future vision of Berlin. Solve a far-reaching conspiracy on an emotional Cyberpunk Journey about Justice, Friendship, Love, Guilt, Sacrifice and Betrayal.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing gameplay mechanics using with C++ and Blueprint in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Debugging, bug fixing, performance optimization and documenting my implementations.
  • Working with other team members (including Game Designers, Programmers, Animation Artists, etc.)

Common Maps
This plugin provides a feature from Epic Games Lyra Shooter example project called Common Maps. In short, it allows you to quickly switch to the maps you use frequently in the project you are working on by storing them in a list.
Features:

Mark And Execute
One of the coolest mechanics in 3rd person games is slowing the time, marking the targets and executing them in a few seconds and this package provides everything what you need.

This game is the first and only game I've made on a game jam with the Unreal Engine. Parallel universes take the theme.
Cheat
The last game jam project I made with Unity. The theme of Game Jam was cheating. The special part of this project was that you had to close the game, enter the game files and change some texts to win the game.
